Job Title: Senior Design and Process Engineer

Reports to: Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Senior Design and Process Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes within the factory. The role focuses on improving production efficiency, product quality, and operational performance through advanced engineering analysis and process innovation.

The position requires strong expertise in process simulation, engineering design, and process control. The Senior Engineer plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring that processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities:

·  Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes and systems.

·  Develop and review engineering drawings and designs using CAD software.

·  Conduct advanced process simulation and analysis to optimize production efficiency.

· Analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.

·  Apply advanced knowledge of heat and mass balance, process control, and unit operations.

· Design and implement effective process control strategies for stable operations.

· Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex process-related issues.

· Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve overall plant performance.

· Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

· Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and project plans.

· Lead commissioning, testing, and validation of new equipment and processes.

· Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and operational procedures

JOB SPECIFICATION     

Qualifications

· Education:

o   BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

· Experience:

o   Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Design and Process Engineer or in a related role.

Required Skills:

· Strong experience with process simulation software and CAD tools.

· Advanced understanding of heat and mass balances, process control strategies, and unit operation

· Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and process optimization.

· Proven ability to lead projects and manage engineering tasks effectively.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

· Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.

·  Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and project deliverables.
