Job Title:  Mechanical Design Division Department Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

Mechanical Design Division Department Manager is responsible for leading and managing all mechanical design activities within the factory. The role ensures that design projects are executed efficiently, meet technical specifications, and comply with industry standards. The position focuses on supervising the mechanical design team, coordinating design tasks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the mechanical design team to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

· Review and approve mechanical drawings, designs, and technical documentation.

· Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

· Coordinate with production, maintenance, and other engineering teams for design implementation.

· Monitor department performance and track progress against project timelines.

· Provide technical guidance and support for complex mechanical design issues.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the mechanical design division.

· Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and departmental performance for senior management.

· Mentor and develop team members to enhance skills and technical competence.

JOB SPECIFICATION       

Qualifications

·  Education:

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 Required Skills:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design or a related engineering field.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and practices.

· Ability to read, interprets, and review mechanical drawings and technical specifications.

· Excellent leadership, team management, and coordination skills.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

· Effective communication and reporting skills.

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
