JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB Summary:
The Lead Architecture & Technology Governance Engineer is responsible for shaping and safeguarding the organization's technology direction. This role leads the development of enterprise technology strategy, governance frameworks, standards, and reference architectures, while driving the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice across business, data, and technology domains. The position ensures that all technology investments, solutions, and platforms are aligned with business group objectives, are architecturally sound, interoperable, secure, and positioned for long-term scalability and resilience.
Key responsibilities:
1. Technology Leadership (Governance, Standardization, Strategy & Product Roadmap)
• Develop and execute the enterprise technology strategy aligned with business group objectives.
• Establish enterprise technology governance, policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide technology standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Govern product development roadmap and prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Lead adoption of emerging technologies.
• Ensure effective technology lifecycle management and technology risk management.
• Monitor technology performance through KPIs, dashboards, and governance reviews.
2. Enterprise Architecture
• Establish and maintain the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and governance model.
• Develop data and technology architectures aligned with business strategy.
• Standardize enterprise platforms, integration, and interoperability across business units.
• Govern solution architecture reviews and technology design approvals.
• Develop enterprise technology roadmaps and modernization strategies.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and future-readiness of enterprise architecture
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Adherence to enterprise technology standards and reference architectures across projects.
• Timeliness and quality of architecture review and design approval cycles.
• Technology portfolio alignment with strategic priorities and ROI targets.
• Reduction in technology risk exposure and improved lifecycle compliance.
• Governance maturity progress, tracked via KPIs, dashboards, and periodic reviews.
JOB Specification
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
Experience:
• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT/technology roles, including enterprise architecture, technology governance, or IT strategy.
• Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and technology governance models.
• Demonstrated experience managing technology product portfolios, roadmaps, and modernization programs.
• Experience conducting solution architecture reviews and design approval processes.
• Experience with cross-functional and cross-business-unit technology standardization initiatives.
Certifications (Preferred) – Minimum of 2 certificates is mandatory
• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Certification.
• Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g., ArchiMate, Zachman Framework).
• ITIL Foundation or higher (IT Service/Lifecycle Management).
• COBIT / IT Governance certification.
• Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect).
• Project/Program management certification (PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
Skills Requirements:
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate).
• Deep understanding of business, data, application, and technology architecture domains.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and interoperability standards.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, infrastructure modernization, and emerging technologies (AI, automation, etc.).
• Understanding of IT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL) and risk management practices.
• Experience with architecture modeling and governance tools.

• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into technology direction.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leadership and business units.
