• Job Title: Junior Bar Bending Machine Operator

• Reports to:  Production Supervisor

• Duty Station: Addis Ababa

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Junior Bar Bending Machine Operator is responsible for operating bar bending machines to bend metal bars and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and quality while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate bar bending machines according to production plans and specifications.

· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation accurately.

· Perform routine machine setup and adjustments under supervision.

· Conduct basic quality checks to ensure bent bars meet required specifications.

· Identify and report minor machine malfunctions or defects to supervisors.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

· Record production output and machine performance.

· Assist in learning and following best practices in bar bending operations.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

TVET in General Mechanics or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Bar Bending Machine Operation.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bar Bending Machine Operator or similar role.

·  Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

·  Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

· Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.

· Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
