JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB Summary:
The Department Manager is responsible for leading and managing a specific department within the factory, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and alignment with organizational objectives. The role focuses on strategic planning, process improvement, resource management, and team leadership to achieve departmental and company goals.
Key responsibilities:
· Develop and implement departmental strategies, policies, and plans aligned with company goals.
· Oversee daily operations within the department to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity.
· Monitor and evaluate departmental performance using KPIs and operational metrics.
· Lead, mentor, and manage departmental staff, including performance appraisals and development.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and problem resolution.
· Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and innovation within the department.
· Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on departmental performance and plans.
· Manage budgets, resource allocation, and departmental projects effectively.
· Represent the department in cross-functional meetings and organizational initiatives.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
· Education:
o Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (MSc preferred).
Required Skills:
· Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing operations.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Ability to develop and implement departmental strategies and policies.
· Experience in process improvement, resource management, and operational planning.
· Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
· Effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
· Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.
· Ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve departmental goals.
