JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) standards. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and quality while ensuring safety and proper use of tools and equipment.

Key responsibilities:

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and WPS technical specifications accurately.

· Operate machinery and use hand and power tools effectively to assemble components.

· Assemble mechanical components according to production plans and specifications.

· Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

· Identify and troubleshoot minor technical issues and equipment malfunctions.

· Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and assembly equipment.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

· Record assembly output, production metrics, and maintenance activities.

· Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

TVET in General Mechanics or related mechanical field.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assembly Operator or in mechanical assembly operations.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and WPS specifications.

· Proficiency in operating machinery and using hand and power tools.

· Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical issues.

· Attention to detail and focus on quality assembly.

·  Good communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.
