JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role focuses on precision, accuracy, and maintaining high product quality while following safety protocols.

The position requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, adjust machine settings accurately, and ensure finished products meet design and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate press brake machines to bend metal sheets and components according to specifications.

·  Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation accurately.

·  Set up and adjust machines to achieve precise bends and angles.

· Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet dimensional and design standards.

· Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of machines.

· Follow safety protocols and operational procedures consistently.

· Record machine operations, production output, and maintenance activities.

·  Identify and report defects, deviations, or machine issues to supervisors or quality teams.

· Assist in training new operators on press brake operations and safety procedures.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

Level 4 TVET in General Mechanics with COC, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Press Brake Machine Operation.

Required Skills:

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience operating press brake machines or similar metal forming equipment.

·  Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

·  Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate bending and product quality.

· Knowledge of metalworking techniques and machine operation.

· Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.

· Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong focus on safety and adherence to operational protocols.
