JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB Summary:
The Engineering Head is responsible for leading and managing all engineering functions within the factory. The role focuses on developing engineering strategies, systems, and processes that support production efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement.
The position ensures effective planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, while optimizing resource utilization and maintaining alignment with organizational goals. The Engineering Head plays a key role in driving innovation, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and plans aligned with business objectives.
• Lead engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Oversee process design, improvement, and optimization within the manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve product and process efficiency.
• Manage engineering budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Ensure proper design, installation, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare engineering reports, plans, and technical documentation.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the engineering team.
• Monitor performance against project milestones and operational targets.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
· Education:
BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong ability to develop engineering strategies, policies, and operational plans.
• Proven project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution).
• Ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects on time.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering systems.
• Experience in process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
