• Job Title: Drilling Machine Operator

• Reports to:  Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Drilling Machine Operator is responsible for operating drilling machines to produce precise holes and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and quality while following safety protocols.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate drilling machines according to production plans and specifications.

· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation accurately.

· Set up and adjust machines to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.

· Conduct quality checks to ensure drilled components meet required specifications.

· Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with equipment.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

· Record production output and machine performance.

· Assist in learning and following best practices in drilling operations.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

TVET in General Mechanics or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Drilling Machine Operation.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience operating drilling machines or similar machinery.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

· Attention to detail and focus on precision.

· Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
