JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB Summary:
The Warehouse & Inventory Division Head is responsible for managing all warehouse and inventory activities to ensure efficient storage, accurate stock control, and timely distribution of goods. The role ensures optimal stock levels, reduces losses, and improves warehouse efficiency to support smooth operations.The position requires strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems to ensure materials are properly stored, accurately recorded, and available when needed.
Key responsibilities:
· Plan, organize, and supervise warehouse and inventory operations across all locations.
· Ensure proper receiving, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials and products.
· Monitor stock levels and maintain optimal inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
· Develop and implement inventory control systems and warehouse procedures.
· Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
· Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions in ERP or inventory systems.
· Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations for timely stock availability and distribution.
· Monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and safety standards.
· Maintain inventory records and prepare periodic warehouse and stock reports.
· Ensure proper warehouse space utilization, cleanliness, and security.
· Supervise warehouse staff and support their performance and development.
· Recommend improvements to warehouse systems, processes, and technologies.
JOB Specification
Qualifications
Education:
· BA/BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field
· Professional certification in Warehouse/Inventory Management is an advantage
Experience:
· Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in warehouse and inventory management, preferably in trading, distribution, or FMCG sectors
· At least 2 years in a leadership role
· Proven experience in multi-site warehouse operations and stock management
· Experience with ERP and warehouse management systems
Skills Requirements:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems
· Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, reporting, and KPI analysis
· Understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and operational compliance
· Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination abilities
· Results-oriented, detail-focused, and able to manage teams effectively
