• Job Title: Senior Combination Punching Operator

• Reports to:  Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Senior Combination Punching Operator is responsible for leading combination punching machine operations, ensuring high-quality production of punched and cut metal components, and supervising junior operators. The role focuses on precision, process optimization, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate, monitor, and optimize combination punching machines for precision cutting and punching.

· Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Conduct quality checks and ensure all finished components meet design and tolerance standards.

· Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for machine and process issues.

· Perform preventive maintenance and ensure optimal machine performance.

· Supervise and mentor junior operators in safe and efficient machine operation.

· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes and reduce errors.

· Record detailed production, quality, and machine performance metrics.

· Recommend process improvements, workflow enhancements, and machinery upgrades.

· Ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

TVET in General Mechanics, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Combination Punching Machine Operation.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience operating combination punching machines or in advanced machining roles.

· Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Expertise in precision punching and cutting operations.

· Experience supervising and mentoring junior operators.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process optimization skills.

· Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

· High focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
