Job Title: Electrician II

Duty Station:  Addis Ababa

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Electrician II is responsible for performing electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities within the factory to ensure reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment. The role requires practical experience in diagnosing faults, maintaining electrical components, and supporting continuous production with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities:

·  Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.

· Inspect electrical components such as wiring, control panels, motors, and circuits to identify faults.

·  Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective actions efficiently.

· Support and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems.

·  Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and operational procedures.

·  Maintain records of electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

·  Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime.

·   Assist in upgrading or modifying electrical systems and equipment when required.

·   Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools and equipment.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

JOB SPECIFICATION       

Qualifications

·  Education:

o   College Diploma (10+3) / Level IV / (10+2) Level III in Electricity, Industrial Electricity, IEMD, or related field from a recognized TVET institution.

 Required Skills:

· Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance or industrial electrical work.

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.

· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults effectively.

· Understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.

· Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality work.
