• Job Title: Senior Thread Machine Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Senior Thread Machine Operator is responsible for leading threading machine operations, ensuring high-quality production of threaded components, and supervising junior operators. The role focuses on process optimization, machine efficiency, and maintaining strict adherence to engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate, monitor, and optimize CNC or manual threading machines for precision component production.

· Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Inspect workpieces, compare numerical displays to process sheets, and ensure high accuracy.

· Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for machine and process issues.

· Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure optimal machine performance.

· Supervise and mentor junior threading machine operators.

· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes and reduce errors.

· Record detailed production, quality, and machine performance metrics.

· Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.

· Recommend improvements to processes, workflows, and machinery for increased efficiency.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

Level 4 TVET in General Mechanics with COC, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Thread Machine Operation.

Required Skills:                                                  

·  Minimum of 5 years of experience operating threading machines or in advanced machining roles.

· Strong ability to operate and optimize CNC threading machines.

· Advanced knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Expertise in inspecting work pieces and maintaining precision standards.

· Experience supervising and mentoring junior operators.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.

· Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

· High focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
