JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

The Senior Bar Bending Machine Operator is responsible for leading bar bending machine operations, ensuring high-quality production of bent metal components, and supervising junior operators. The role focuses on precision, process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

· Operate, monitor, and optimize bar bending machines to produce accurate metal components.

· Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

·  Conduct quality inspections to ensure all bent bars meet design and tolerance standards.

· Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions efficiently.

· Lead preventive maintenance and ensure optimal machine performance.

· Supervise and mentor junior operators in safe and effective machine operation.

· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve workflows and reduce errors.

· Record detailed production, quality, and machine performance metrics.

· Recommend process improvements, workflow enhancements, and machinery upgrades.

· Ensure strict compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

· Education:

TVET in General Mechanics or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Bar Bending Machine Operation.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience operating bar bending machines or in advanced machining roles.

· Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

· Expertise in troubleshooting, precision bending, and machine optimization.

· Experience supervising and mentoring junior operators.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

· Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

· High focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
