Job Title: Electrical Design Division Manager

Duty Station:  Addis Ababa

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB Summary:

Electrical Design Division  Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to electrical design within the factory. The role ensures that electrical design projects are executed efficiently, meet technical specifications, and comply with industry standards. The position focuses on supervising staff, coordinating design tasks, and supporting continuous improvement in electrical systems design.

Key responsibilities:

· Manage and supervise the electrical design team to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.

·  Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical documentation.

·  Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

·  Coordinate with production, maintenance, and other engineering teams for design implementation.

· Monitor performance of the department and track progress against project timelines.

·  Support problem-solving and technical guidance for complex electrical design issues.

·  Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical design division.

·  Prepare reports and present design progress and performance updates to senior management.

· Ensure the development and mentoring of team members for skills enhancement.

JOB SPECIFICATION       

Qualifications

· Education:

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

 Required Skills:

· Minimum 5 year of experience in electrical design or related engineering field.

· Basic knowledge of electrical design principles, standards, and practices.

· Ability to read, interprets, and review electrical drawings and specifications.

·  Good leadership, coordination, and supervisory skills.

·  Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

·  Effective communication and teamwork skills.

·  Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
